Jay-z's Open Letter to Critics

Jay-Z: ‘Open Letter’ Attacks Critics

Jay-Z is telling his critics to bow down in his own way. Himself and Beyonce got some serious heat for celebrating their fifth anniversary in Havana , Cuba on Apr. 4. Even President Obama rebuked Jay-Z, according to the song! “Obama said, ‘Chill, you’re gonna get me impeached/You don’t need this s**t anyway, chill with me on the beach,” Jay raps.
He continues rapping, “I’m in Cuba, I love Cubans/This Communist talk is so confusing,” insisting that his vacation wasn’t political in any way. Jay-Z also lashes out at the critics who have attacked him for his foray into the sports world. He owned a small portion of the Brooklyn Nets until recently, and last week on Apr. 2, he announced that he’d be jumping into the sports agency business:
Could’ve brought the Nets to Brooklyn for free
Except I made millions off it, you f**king dweeb
I still own the building, I’m still keeping my seat
Y’all buy that bulls**t, you’d better keep that receipt
