Legal Battle Between Brymo And Chocolate City Continues [Details Here]

The legal battle between Chocolate City Entertainment and artiste, Ashimi Olawale Ibrahim popularly known as Brymo comes up on the 14th of January, Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos. The case was adjourned until 14th of January, after the presiding judge unavoidable absence at the court leading to the suspension of the case. The case reportedly has been adjourned twice following the November 11 adjournment before this latest one. However, the presiding judge wasn’t the only one missing as neither Brymo nor his counsel were available for the hearing leaving only Choc City’s counsel, C.O. Madubuko from L and A Legal Consultants the only party present.
The battle between Brymo and Chocolate city is as a result of Brymo’s unceremonious exit from the record label.

Chocolate City Kenyan artiste, Victoria Kimani opened up on what she thinks of nudity and how far you can go in the music industry whether or not you show your skin to Nigerian Tribune…   

Excerpts:

What are your views on nudity?

We were born naked, and then we realized that we were naked. In some villages around the world, nudity is normal; in a religious society, nudity of any kind is a sin. So, nudity is a personal preference and sometimes a Godly calling. I believe there’s nothing wrong with nudity. It’s the evil and sinful thoughts that people think that need to be controlled.

How far can you go with showing your skin as far as your music is concerned?

My music will take me very far, not showing skin. That can only take you so far.
I wear what I am comfortable in, depending on my surroundings. Fashion is another way of living and expressing art. As a girl with a curvy body, I like to celebrate my blessings while I’m still young enough and in shape enough to do so. That doesn’t mean showing skin.
Whether I’m dressed in a nun’s gown or in a bathing suit, someone will still oppose, and have an evil thought.

Brymo Is NOT Leaving Chocolate City – Official Statement from Chocolate City

Yesterday, everyone started saying Brymo left Chocolate city..The management of Chocolate city released a statement as regards this issue;

World PR Media released this brief statement on behalf of Chocolate City Music:

” We can confirm that Brymo still has a valid contract with Chocolate City and we are certain our Artiste “Brymo” can confirm the same fact. We urge all reputable media houses to check facts with our establishment prior to releasing “Untrue” stories to the general public that rely on them for valuable Information”.

Brymo is not leaving Chocolate city.. He is still a member.
