N100m Suit Wahala: Etisalat Replies Comedian Julius Agwu
Telecommunication giant, Etisalat Nigeria, has reacted to Julius Agwu’s 7day ultimatum to the company that it should compensate him with the sum of N100 million or risk legal action over “alleged unlawful and unjustified blocking and/or swapping” of his Etisalat GSM phone number 08189555555.
Julius Agwu had, through his lawyer, Festus Keyamo, demanded N100m after his business line was blocked by Etisalat.
Julius said in a bid to solve his problem, he had visited Etisalat's Abuja office at Hilton to report the matter.
He was attended to by one Miss Joan, who informed him that somebody had swapped his line.
Julius successfully answered the security questions put to him, his line was restored with no airtime balance.
But he was shocked when the line was blocked later on again. And even after his several meetings with Etisalat, they still failed to unblock his line the second time, causing him to lose some business opportunities.
Etisalat’s Public Relations Manager, Chineze Amanfo, while reacting to the allegation through an email sent to PMNews, stated that contrary to the reportage of the issue on the blogs and news sites, a SIM swap was performed on the said line after the requester provided the company’s customer care executives with necessary SIM replacement information, in accordance with laid down NCC regulations and process for SIM swap.
She added that the SIM replacement information includes security and personal requirements to the owner, which the requester provided before the swap was effected.
Subsequently, upon a report made at our office by Mr. Agwu that he is the owner of the line and did not authorize anyone to swap it, our customer care executives promptly restored the line as well as the airtime lost during the swap process.
Etisalat Nigeria is currently carrying out an internal investigation into the SIM swap incident and will refer the matter to the appropriate agencies for further investigation as may be necessary.
We wish to assure the general public that Etisalat Nigeria is committed to the protection of the rights of its subscribers and to continue to provide value adding services to its customers.
We will spare no effort to unravel the circumstances surrounding the alleged unauthorized SIM swap while encouraging our customers and the general public to protect their personal information at all times,” she stated

"All Catholics Will Go To Hell Because They Worship Satan"-Chris Okotie

Nigeria’s controversial preacher and former presidential candidate, Chris Okotie, told his congregation last Sunday, that:
''All Catholics in the world will go to hell because they worship Satan and are led by an Anti-Christ Pope who is a friend to the devil,'' -
Fifty-five year old Okotie, while preaching in his Household of God Church in Ikeja area of Lagos, said the Catholic church is “a counterfeit church set up by Satan” and that Catholics “bow to idols and crucify Jesus every Sunday when they eat bread claiming they are eating Jesus’ body.” Okotie told a stunned congregation:
They are not Christians and have never been. They don’t know Jesus. They believe that
when they eat bread on Sundays, they are eating the body of Jesus. It’s ritual.
The pope is an Anti-Christ and the Catholic church will soon declare for Satan. This is the end of times,”
He said Pope Francis is an Anti-Christ who does the job of the devil and that time is fast approaching when the Catholic church will pledge allegiance to Satan. He advised members of his church to come to the rescue of Catholics and evangelise them.
This, he said, was not out of disrespect but out of respect for the word of God. He said those who know the truth should bring it to those who do not know it in the Catholic Church.
Okotie said one of the Catholic most revered Popes, Pope John Paul 11, surrendered the Catholic Church to Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus Christ, instead of Jesus himself. He said even the current Pope Francis has also done same. He said Catholics are not Christians and do not worship the same Christ that he preaches in his church, at least the one spoken about in the Bible. Okotie said he did not write the Bible but it was clear to him that those in the Catholic church were lost and were heading to hell fire.
“They don’t believe in heaven. They believe in purgatory, the purgatory that they invented,” Okotie said. “That church, the Catholic church has been there for Satan and at the right time, they will declare for Satan,”Okotie said.
Okotie who has been married twice and divorced also twice said a beauty pageant will take place in his church next Sunday to select the most beautiful woman in his church. He also said his yearly “Grace programme” where he makes donations to charity organisations will also take place next Sunday.
The once rock star turned celebrity preacher and politician has been controversial for years. He once said it was the devil who told him for the first time that he was going to be a preacher. He also said Nigeria’s famous preacher Prophet T.B. Joshua is the son of the devil and his followers will go straight to hell.
In recent years, he has been saying that God has anointed him to be Nigeria’s president. That prophecy has not come to pass in two presidential elections that he participated in.
A guide for the clueless graduate!!
Okay orientation has finished...it's time to start working for the government. A whole lot of us are still clueless as to what they want to do after service and ish.... Some are probably thinking hard if what they want to do, why they studied what they studied, what to use their certificates for and all... Its allowed. Don't crucify yourself. Just admit it! you are clueless! What is the next step after admitting you are clueless! Think about this... Would you like to work for someone? would you like to be your own boss? Do you have an answer to those questions? If yes perfect! If no.... it's not the end of the world. I read somewhere " don't look for a job look for a mentor". Find a boss that will help you develop both professionally and as a person. Find those managers who grow people. You'll know it when you see it. They will remind you of that high school coach or college professor who took interest in developing you, not just your jump shot or grade point average. Next do anything. Don't get hung up on the job description or title or even salary. If you've found a great mentor, don't overthink it. And if you're talented, you'll find that your job will change quickly and often. So who cares if you're a Marketing Associate or Marketing Coordinator? Remember that you are clueless. Most of the work you'll be doing will not be sexy. But it will matter. You will learn and before you know it, you won't be so clueless anymore. Don't follow your passion. Find your passion. This one sounds cliché and that's because it is cliché. In fact, I think it's optional as you start your career journey. Passion usually develops over time after you've figured out what you're good at, among other things. However, once you've found that mentor and have begun learning, start searching for the type of work that excites you. Its not about wearing smart suits, driving the most expensive cars and ish... Most of these people started just like you. Not everyone has it all figured out after school....
